Dermovate Ointment (Clobetasol)
Suggestion:
- Psoriasis( except wide shrine psoriasis), recalcitrant eczemas, lichen planus, discoid lupus erythematosus, and other skin conditions not responding to less active steroids.
- Apply sparingly to the affected area formerly or doubly daily.
- Treatment shouldn't be continued for further than 4 weeks without the condition of the case being reviewed.
- Acuity to any component.
- Rosacea, acne vulgaris, perioral dermatitis, perianal and genital pruritus, and primary skin infections caused by contagions, fungi, or bacteria.
- it shouldn't be used in children below 1 time of age including dermatitis and hankie eruptions.
- The long-term remedy should be avoided particularly in babies and children as adrenal repression may do.
- Care should be taken so that the medication doesn't enter the eyes as glaucoma results.
- Dragged operation on the face should be avoided.
- In secondarily infected lesions, the antimicrobial remedy should be introduced.
- In case of spread of infection, topical steroid remedy should be stopped.
- Avoid expansive use during gestation.
- Visual disturbance has been reported in cases using systemic and/ or topical corticosteroids.
Side goods:
- Original atrophic changes,e.g. thinning, striae and dilatation of superficial blood vessels, saturation, hypertrichosis.
- As with other corticosteroids, hypercorticism may do with dragged use.
- Sometimes acuity responses and exacerbations of underpinning symptoms may do.
